Amazing Gift From My Aunt

Brooklyn,

Today we received and awesome gift in the mail from your Great Aunt Chris.

Here is the gift:

I know that your thinking, "awe, thats cute!" but here is why this gift is such a great gift: (Click on the picture to enlarge)

Your Great Grandmother passed away in 1986 after a long battle with bone marrow cancer. She was an awesome woman and an inspiration to anyone who met her. Aunt Chris had kept this outfit, that she had made, all those years and blessed you (and us) with this wonderful surprise. Chris lives in Boston and we are in Florida so we don't get to spend a lot of time together but she continues to stay involed in our lives and has always been there in our time of need. She, like your great grandmother, is an amazing woman and a we're so thankful she's our aunt. Your gonna love her, we do!

Mommy's not the only one with good taste

So Brooklyn,

I was in Target the other day and found some cute clothes, I just couldn't help myself. I know I'm a bit partial but I think your gonna look adorable in these.

Your baby showers were amazing, all of our family and friends sure love you a bunch, and you should see all the gifts they gave....I was truly awestruck!

So here's whats going on in the outside:

You are kicking inside mommy's tummy a lot these days. You're just about 4 lbs and 16 inches long and in just 49 more days (give or take) and you'll be joining us. Mommy is a trooper being pregnant June, July and August in Florida. You should see her, she is so cute with her belly! We are continuing to get the house ready for you and things are progressing very well.

Well gotta run but we will chat more soon. We love you Brooklyn, Keep growing

Daddy : )

Gift from Daddy!

Not that we are all ate up with the space program or anything, but it IS the bread and butter for both John and I. So it shouldn't surprise me when Daddy came home with this gift for Miss Bean today. It shouldn't surprise me but it did.

I'm so tickled at the Astro Baby onesie!

You want to know what cute looks like?

On Feb. 2nd I wrote a blog entry that ended with "Now someone go get me a cupcake!"

On Feb. 9th I got this crocheted adorableness in the mail from my cyber friend Valerie:

So today this comes in the mail for Bean and things just keep getting cuter:

Why is it even cuter? Because it is teensy! And we all know that teensy things register super high on the cuteness scale.

Precious Gift from a Precious Friend

We received a wonderful surprise in the mail today...a work of art made by my online friend Tammy. Yes, it is breathtaking, I know. It will hang nicely on Bean's wall. But it is also functional. The little pocket behind the moon holds a mini sound recorder! How cool is that?

And what better timing? Tomorrow John and I will go to the doctor and (hopefully) hear Bean's heartbeat. What a perfect way to document the beautiful sound of a tiny new life. Thank you so much Tammy. I will cherish this forevah.

If you want to see more of her work, or get a voice recorder of your own, check out her blog. Tammy, I know you never intended this to be a plug for your store, but hey why not...your stuff rocks!

Yay! More fun stuff in the mail.

Mom sent us this great package that arrived today. So many useful resources and my first maternity top. I can't wait to dig in to the information. I'm all for any book that teaches how to soothe a crying baby.

Firsts: Baby Gift

The most precious thing arrived in the mail yesterday from North Dakota. Our first present for Bean...teensy little baby caps & the tiniest baby socks you've ever seen, and a sweet card. Who do we know in ND, you might ask? Patti, a woman who has been a dear cyber friend for about 1 1/2 years. Though we've never met face-to-face, we've shared many MANY laughs, tears, craft ideas, life stories, pictures, and so much more.

Patti, thank you so much for thinking of us. And during our phone conversation, your support and encouragement was so touching. Thanks for being my cyber friend. I so appreciate you! =)
